As president of LifeWay, I am so proud of the partnership we have with Sherwood Pictures. Many of you know Sherwood as the creative force behind the movies Flywheel, Facing the Giants, Fireproof, and Courageous.
I’m excited to announce the Men of Honor Simulcast. This event is specifically designed to equip men to take courageous living to a new level in their walk with the Lord.
More about the event:
This two-hour simulcast will be filled with solid teaching, inspiring worship, and powerful stories to challenge the men of your church and community to become strong men of honor for Christ and for your families. Hosted live at Sherwood Church in Albany, Georgia, and broadcast to churches around the world, Alex and Stephen Kendrick, the writers of Courageous, Pastor Michael Catt, the author of Courageous Living, and Ed Litton, who played Pastor Hunt in Courageous, will be teaching on God’s design for fathers, winning your children’s hearts, and how men can make a stronger commitment to Christ. Then, the actors who played Javier, Nathan, Adam, Shane, and William Barrett in Courageous will be doing an inspiring roundtable session where they share personal stories of how God is working in their lives and in men across the nation.
Join the movement as churches across the country seek to honor their men and fathers!! This is a great opportunity to encourage men to live courageously as men of honor. Pray, prepare, and expect great things!
Here’s a short video from the Kendricks about the event. I pray you and your church can join us.

This sounds like an awesome upcoming event. I hope there will be a list to all the participating churches just in case we need to consolidate the audiences.
Thank you for putting this out there for the MEN of HONOR.
Where can we find out what churches are hosting this?!

If my church would like to host this event then how would we go about doing so?
I’m sending my message from South Africa, is there anyway that we would be able to pick up this simulcast.
Nate,
You can host this event by registering for the simulcast at:
http://www.lifeway.com/menofhonor
LifeWay and Sherwood Films have partnered to provide this opportunity to churches for only $5 per church.
Chris,
Churches around the world have been able to engage in LifeWay simulcasts. You can find more information on the Men of Honor FAQ page at http://www.lifeway.com/menofhonor concerning the internet requirements for streaming this event. You will need to plan with your time zone in mind. Also, this event may be available to purchase as a download after Father’s Day weekend.
How much advance notice is needed to host? I asked the men of my church if this would be of interest, the response was positive, but we need to see how much interest there would be. In other words how quickly do I need to pay the $5 to be able to participate?
Jason,
There is a mandatory testing session with tech support on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 6pm to 8pm EST to ensure that your connection to the simulcast is working properly. You would need to be signed up before that time if you would like to participate in the event.
Thom, so I did a small check at my church and due to the holiday weekend the consensus was that we would not be able to do it. So I come back to you with a new question and that is is this something that will be rececorded and available for purchase for a later session?
Jason -
I know of no plans to make it available for purchase at a later date.
This might be something to consider my church would love to attend but we have to many things on the agenda that night.
Grace Bible Church of Oxford, MS, is in and we’re fired up about it! One of my guys is asking if it would be appropriate for his sons to attend? Can you give recommendations on that? Thanks!
-Andy
I missed this..I really wanted to go, Is there anyway or any how i can see this?
We are involved in Men’s prison ministry at Pamlico Correctional Bayboro,NC for last 10 years. Most of these men are maximun and medium security and are serving long sentences, many we have come to know are true christians.
My question is this; do you think this simulcast would benefit these men even though they are inmates or do you believe it may be something they will feel helpless to impliment? Please advise,
Thank you,Dottie Brawley Jacksonville Christian prison Ministry
