Today is the second of three opportunities my readers will have to win an autographed Christmas CD by Keith and Kristyn Getty and an accompanying study Bible.
Joy – An Irish Christmas is a unique celebration of Christmas with Keith and Kristyn Getty. Last year, they recorded this exciting Christmas album combining fresh Irish interpretations of traditional carols alongside new carols written by the hymn-writing duo.
Also included is the latest HCSB study Bible from B&H, the Mission of God Study Bible. Edited by Ed Stetzer and Philip Nation, the Mission of God Study Bible encourages followers of Jesus Christ to see their everyday life from God’s perspective and have His heart for people. It’s a reminder that we live around people in desperate need of redemption and reconciliation with God, which can only be found in Jesus. The mission of God has never been just for specialists; it is for all believers to live out through their daily lives and by sharing the good news of what God has done through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus.
To be eligible to win, answer the following question:
What is your favorite Christmas carol?
The deadline to enter is midnight CST this Saturday. We will draw one winner from the entries on Monday morning.

Though to narrow it down to one, but I would choose “O Come, All Ye Faithful.”
O Come, O Come Emmanuel.
“O Holy Night”
O Holy Night, followed by Angela From the Realms of Glory. I love Christmas!
My favorite Christmas carol is “Good Christian Men Rejoice”. It is celebratory, festive and has a great message of the gospel! It is an invitation to worship at Christmas time. “Christ was born for this, Christ was born for this!”
My favorite is “go tell it on the mountain”
O Holy Night! has such a great message.
I like “Emmanuel”
“Hark the Herald Angels Sing” by Charles Wesley
The words describe Jesus’ great self-sacrifice in what he has done to rescue us. I think this carol should be sung all year round!
My favorite is Silent Night. I love to hear the stories behind the songs.
The First Noel
My favorite by far is “O Holy Night.”

Easily the greatest Christmas Carol ever written!
Tough to pick just one but probably Joy to the World.
Away in a Manager.
O Come Emanuel, especially the Theocracy version
Go, Tell it on the Mountain. It preaches pretty good also.
Come All Ye Faithful would be my traditonal, but my favorite “Christmas” song is Kari Jobe’s “Adore HIm”….beautiful message and song!
Merry Christmas y’all!
Silent Night
Without hesitation, “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.” Great theology.
Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus
Silent Night
I believe my favorite carol would be “O’ Holy Night” I believe it captures the reverence and importance of the birth of Christ.
Go Tell it on a Mountain
My is now Full of Grace on the Joy – An Irish Christmas. It is theologically rich.

O Christmas Tree
O little town of Bethlehem.
O Come O Come Emmanuel
Picking just one is hard to do. I love “Joy To The World”
Carol of the Bells
Silent Night!
“Hark! The Herald Angels Sing,” because it is rich in Gospel truths…
O Holy Night. Such a beautiful song, and it was my mother’s favorite, so it always makes me think of her now that she has gone to be with Jesus.
Silent night.
“Joy to the World” has got to be my favorite. I especially love the line “Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room.”

Joy Has Dawned
Come thou long expected Jesus
O Holy Night
I can’t get enough of the “Carol of the Bells,” but I also love “What Child is This?”
My favorite carol is “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day.” Longfellow, writing during the Civil War, looked around him and was tempted to say “there is no peace on earth…for hate is strong and mocks the song of peace on earth, good will to men.” But in his faith he saw the hope of God and wrote, “Then pealed the bells more loud and deep/ God is not dead nor doeth he sleep/ the wrong shall fail, the right prevail/ with peace on earth, good will to men.” I still get goosebumps when I sing those lines.”
Come Thou Long-Expected Jesus…amazing lyrics and a beautiful melody.
“O Holy Night” and anything about the incarnation from Michael Card ( esp. the one from Joseph’s perspective)
Glorious Light – Getty
Oh Holy Night – The lyrics are profound!
“O Holy Night”
O Come O Come Emmanuel
Hark! The Herald Angels Sing… God and sinners reconciled…what it’s all about
O Holy Night is my favorite Christmas Carol!
O Come All Ye Faithful
My favorite has to be Hark, The Herald Angels Sing, especially the final verse. It keeps the Gospel in focus!
Hark, The Herald Angels Sing – Mild He lays his glory by. Born that man no more may die. Born to raise the sons of earth. Born to give them second birth. That’s the Gospel!
“O Come All Ye Faithful” Chris Tomlin’s version…particularly the “we’ll give Him all the glory” and “we’ll praise His name forever.” verses.
God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen
I love the part where he saves “us all from Satan’s power!”
Joy to the World
“No more let sin and sorrow grow nor thorns infest the ground. He comes to make his blessing known far as the curse is found!”
Huron Carol
O Holy Night
Mary Did You Know
“Go Tell It On the Mountain”
“Do you hear what I hear” is my all-time favorite Christmas carol! Blessings!
O Holy Night . Michael Crawford’s version is the best.
Tim, I also love Michael Crawford as a singer, but in his version of “O Holy Night” he simply repeats the title and refuses to sing “O night divine!” as is written. Guess he is trying to stay true to the song but be politically correct and not credit the birth of Jesus as a divine act.
Oh, Holy Night
Joy to the World
O Holy Night
Christmas Canon Trans Siberian Orchestra
We wish you a Merry Christmas.
“We Wish You a Merry Christmas” is a popular secular sixteenth-century English carol from the West Country of England.[1] The origin of this Christmas carol lies in the English tradition where wealthy people of the community gave Christmas treats to the carolers on Christmas Eve such as ‘figgy puddings’ that were very much like modern day Christmas puddings.[2][3] It is one of the few English traditional carols that makes mention of the New Year celebration. It is often the last song carolers sing to people.

I don’t really have a favorite, but I love “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel”. Also, while reading the post/comments, I’ve had Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” swirling through my mind. I discovered the flash-mob version last year: http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=9EM29CNU . It chokes me up a bit as I wonder what is going through the minds and hearts of the observers. Lord, please send Your revival. Shalom.
Oh Holy Night
Probably my most favorite carol would be O Holy Night. It was holy when God entered our world as a human being.
Silent Night!
Congratulations to this week’s winner – Austin
